BareTail Log Viewer is a stand alone file viewer that refreshes when the file changes.  It is possible to highlight log entries by searching for specific text.  The pro version has the ability to search for log entries using regular expressions.  Simply use a FileTarget to create a generic log file that is viewable by BareTail.
